Park is busy. Complained to the warden about a loud partying neighbour at 12:30am but no one ever showed up to address the issue. If you want to experience trying to sleep next to a group speaking in full volume well into the night, here's a gem.

Did a day trip here on the July long weekend. The day-use area bathrooms are terrible. Someone could get sick here. Non-flush toilets... disgusting! Day-trippers PAY to use the park too!! Had to use the campers toilets which is allowed and they are clean. But not everyone knows this is allowed. The camp site areas don't look like they have much privacy. Everyone is so close by. The hiking trails are nothing spectacular. Improper signs and paths are missing halfway. Had to turn back half way because the path was starting to look odd. The equipment rentals office is absolutely slow. Waited for a while and still didn't end up getting a boat. A family in front of me had been waiting for over an hour to rent. Equipment is there but seems like the processes they have to do to rent is slowing them down. The beach is small. FYI Otherwise a good beach with benches and areas for rest. 2-stars only because I had a good time with my party and it's close to Toronto. Good place to fish but you don't have to come to the park for that.

Camped on a long weekend and site was a descent size. Initially park employees at the front desk and rental shop were helpful. Life jackets and paddles were stolen from a canoe and we were charged an obscene amount (350) on top of the 150 paid for rentals. There was no help from park staff to locate the equipment, not even as much as calling the lost and found, they were more worried about charging me way more than the items were worth. Could of at least looked at lost and found and notified other staff. Lifejackets and paddles are not labelled to the rented equipment so there's no way of know what pieces are actually yours. Fishing was hopeless without a motorized boat.

  • Great place to camp for a weekend. June is bad for bugs but if you're prepared you will be good

  • The beaches we nice and not over crowded. Site 51 didn't have much privacy but that was expected. This facilitied were generally clean but the showers were super hot. Park staff were friendly and helpful. It rained hard for 30 minutes when we were there. Since most of the site in our area are lower than the road it retained water and flooded. There is no quiet time at night so if you are going with kids that wake up easily or you yourself are sensitive to nose then you might want to find a site that is radio free or more isolated.
